Prayers for Bethany

Creator Family,

Toni and Rick would like all us to pray for Bethany. They found out today that the last chemo was not effective and there are no more options left on the shelf.

They are discussing palliative care with the doctors at OHSU. Toni is grateful for our prayers and asks that in the next few days they be given the opportunity to just be family.

Please refrain from calling or visiting at this time. Merrily, Kirk and Stephanie will all be home by the end of the week.

All of our hearts break for the family. May they and we know God's peace and consolation in this time of sadness.

From Shirley Peterson: For Randy's Nephew; Minor Stroke

Just got this from Shirley Peterson:

Randy's nephew Jeremy Nelson (30 years old) on the prayer list. He had a minor stroke on Wednesday. He is released to work on Monday, so it was really minor. However, he needs to change his way of living....and go back on his blood pressure medication.

Please pray for Ethan Walther. Ethan is a family friend from St. Timothy whose health seems to be in rapid decline. Please also lift up his wife, Emmylou. On top of caring for Ethan, she has been having memory problems and has been tested for Altzheimers and dementia, but nothing has been diagnosed. Emmylou's daughter, Holly, is a good friend of Donn's and mine growing up at St. Tims.

Pam Jewell (many people know her from the cruise, and is a former
neighbor of the Mobley's) is having an angiogram with the
possibility of an angioplasty on Tuesday. Both she and (husband)
Larry are having heart troubles.

Below is a prayer request from Kathy Lowe:

"I would like to put our neighbor, Tom McGarry, on the prayer list. He was just diagnosed with terminal cancer throughout his body. He is in his 70's. He has been given about 6 weeks to live. Tom is not a Christian and we are praying that God would become real to him through this process."

Also, continue your prayers for Bethany and the Hartung family.

Bill Haase - Angiogram

Greetings pray-ers,

I just talked to Bill Haase and he's having an angiogram (OHSU) at 1:00pm today. He had some heart symptoms yesterday and was in the hospital overnight.

He'll likely have a stent put in during the procedure. Please remember Bill (and Lila) in prayer.

Hi prayer chain pray-ers,

I just got this from Sommer Dobbe... sad story... please remember this family is prayer:

"A good friend just told me that her friend's daughter 12 years old Chelsea was just diagnosed with bone cancer and it has metastasized. She is in bad shape and will have to start chemo. She had been suffering with leg pain for months and they took her to a doctor who x-rayed her leg and said she was fine that is was probably just a minor sports injury that needed to heal.. Now months have gone by and her tumor in her leg got so big it broke her femur bone and it has spread throughout her body.. She is just a girl the same age as my Marlowe and it breaks my heart to think of this..please pray for this little girl and pray to give her the strength to go through this fight for her life that she is about to start.

Also please pray for her Mom Celeste who is feeling guilty for listening to the first doctor who said it was nothing in spite of her daughter's continued pain in her leg. Please pray that her Mom come to peace with the fact that she is not to blame.. I just feel so bad for this family I needed to have them included in the prayer chain..
